“Sumy NPO” PJSC was visited by a delegation of the top managers of German concern Rheinmetall International Engineering GmbH and the Austrian company Christof Industries. Guests arrived to work out options for further mutually beneficial cooperation with Sumy engineers.
Urs Folrat, the chief managing director of Rheinmetall International Engineering GmbH, the head of the delegation, visited Sumy NPO last year and did not conceal his satisfaction with the production potential of the plant. This time, he visited the company together with his partners from Christof Industries: Markus Gran, Executive Director for Business Development, and Thoralf Kikut, Managing Director of Ferro Technik GmbH.
Guests of the plant were given a tour, showing workshop number 2, which specializes in the production of compressor equipment, a block of test stands and an exhibition center, where various samples of products manufactured by Sumy engineers are collected.
As Alexander Tatarinov, head of Overseas Sales Bureau , notes, acquaintance with the capacities of Sumy NPO made a pleasant impression on the delegation. “The guests were actively interested in technological processes, studied already finished equipment and that is at the production stage now. They also highly appreciated our competence in testing, as close as possible to real operating conditions,” Mr. A. Tatarinov said.
The final of the meeting was an agreement on uniting efforts in the implementation of orders. First of all, the representatives of Rheinmetall International Engineering GmbH and Christof Industries announced their intentions together with Sumy NPO to pave the way to the Middle East.
“We shook hands about joint participation in projects planned in a number of Middle Eastern countries. Partners from Germany and Austria consider Sumy machine builders to be serious players on the market, therefore they intend to involve us in the implementation of their future contracts, which, of course, opens new prospects for the company, ” Aleksey Tsymbal, the General Director of “Sumy NPO” PJSC, explains.
