“Sumy Machine Building Science and Production Association” PJSC supplied two oversized ball valves of nominal diameter 1200 and 1400 mm to Ukrtransgaz PJSC. Thus, the total number of pipeline valves shipped by the Company to the Ukrainian partner according to a number of contracts that were concluded in 2016 reached almost 960 articles.

Manufactured by Sumy machine builders, ball valves of 1200 and 1400 mm diameter are the largest samples of shut-off valves not only in the product line of the enterprise, but also in Ukraine. The weight of the DN 1200 ball valve is 30 tons, and DN 1400 is 35 tons. Both are designed for underground use.

In general, current agreements with Ukrtransgaz PJSC provide for the delivery of over 1,700 ball valves of various sizes (from DN10 to DN1400) and design (both ground and underground).

“Ball valves manufactured by our company are installed on various sections of the domestic gas transporting system, as well as they form so-called customer’s strategic stock. In accordance with agreements with Ukrtransgaz, Sumy machine builders should supply a little more than 760 pieces of equipment,” Pavel Zuza, the senior sales manager, explains.
