Sumy NPO PJSC signed an agreement with the Ural Gas Turbine Power Plant (Kazakhstan) to produce a gear pair to the R-500 reducer, which, incidentally, was also manufactured at the enterprise during the construction of this GTPP.
According to Aleksander Korolev, the senior sales manager, three R-500 reducers manufactured by Sumy machine builders, are operated at the Ural State Heat Power Station, which was put into operation in 2011. As a part of a phased upgrade of the production facilities, the customer planned regular maintenance work and chose Sumy NPO as the supplier again.
“Currently, a contract has been signed for a set of gear pair to one gearbox, which must be shipped in early summer. And, of course, we are negotiating the rest of the equipment, ” Mr. Aleksander Korolev explains.
He also recalls that the activation of cooperation was facilitated by the visit of representatives of the Ural GTPP to the enterprise in January of this year. Then Kazakh partners inspected the production areas, visited the Company power plant, talked with the senior engineers and designers and technologists. As a result, an agreement was reached on the development of business relations, and this contract was a confirmation.
