Rustavi Azot, specializing in the production of chemical fertilizers, has placed an order in Sumy NPO to manufacture a crankshaft for a reciprocating compressor 4M40-680 / 22-320.

Ordered component is of a very large size. The weight of the billet exceeds 9.5 tons, and in the finished form the crankshaft will weigh at least 5.6 tons.

According to Irina Nosulenko, the senior manager of the reciprocating units department, the Company has been cooperating with Rustavi Azot since the late 1960s. Sumy NPO branded compressor equipment of 4M40-680 / 22-320 type is operated at this chemical plant, which, in addition to fertilizers, also produces ammonia, nitric acid, copper sulfate, etc. It is noteworthy that the first samples of the delivered equipment have been working effectively for half a century. Sumy machine-builders periodically produce individual spare parts for them.

According to the latest agreements, the crankshaft must be manufactured in the third quarter of 2017.
