In late October, the Ukrainian delegation, including the employees of Sumy-Electrode LLC, a subsidiary of PJSC “Sumy NPO”, visited the Polish city of Sosnowiec. They took part in the international exhibition ExpoWELDING-2016. This significant event in the field of welding technology is considered to be an effective instrument of business promotion for those who represent their products as well as those who are eyeing proposed.

According to Tatiana Oleynikova, Chief of “Sumi-Electrode” Commercial Department, our country was represented by about ten people. The initiator of the trip was the E.O. Paton Electric Welding Institute of the NASU. Kiev and Sumy enterprises specializing in the production of powder, welding wires and electrodes presented samples of domestic products to the visitors of exhibition.

“This event is the lead in Central and Eastern Europe, it attracts representatives from various continents. Why? It is here, among other things, the welding industry leaders talk about the latest technological innovations in this area. For example, the manufacturers and potential customers of such major countries as Germany, Switzerland, Canada, Norway, Finland, etc. were interested in current exhibition. So we had a good opportunity to assess the level of competition, the mood and needs of our market segment “, – says Tatiana Oleynikova.

As the interlocutor assured, stands of “Sumi-Electrode” are not left without the attention of visitors, despite the fact that the company was seen here for the first time. In particular, their products were actively questioned by the representatives of Polish steel industry.

“We went to the exhibition with the aim to find new customers. We came back with the prospects of cooperation, but in order that they have turned to the actual delivery, it is necessary to begin the long process of negotiations. Now we direct all efforts to still be able to deliver our electrodes to the European Union “- sums up Tatiana Oleynikova.
