“Sumy NPO” PJSC continues the implementation of a number of contracts signed with the Ingenieurbüro R. Großmann GmbH & Co. KG (IBG) company from Germany. One of them is for the supply of technologically complex blocks for upgrading a gas drying unit, within the scope of which the release of large, thick-walled absorbers has already began.
The equipment in question is two units meant for drying natural gas from moist. The length of one such unit is 16 m, and the diameter is 1,6 m. The wall thickness of casings is also impressive: it is 55 mm in shells and 60 mm in heads.
“We know from experience that the job is serious and demanding. However, we aim to finish it by the end of October”, – notes Andrei Tereshkevich, deputy head of Shop No.4, where the production of these items takes place.
In general, the absorbers will be supplied package-wise. They will be furnished with valve blocks and maintenance platforms, the release of which will start in the nearest future. Also, within the scope of modernization of the gas drying unit, Sumy machine-builders need to ship to the IBG company blocks of degassing, filtering, triethylene glycol (TEG) regeneration, regenerated TEG pumps, antifoam dosing, as well as a variety of vessel-type equipment. The manufacture of vessels is currently carried out in Shops NoNo.7 and 8 – the first samples of finished products are being tested there already.
