“Sumy Machine-Building Science and Production Association”, PJSC expands its business opportunities in the Middle East. The other day the company has received the status of an approved supplier in the National Iranian Petrochemical Company (NIPC), so it will be able to participate in tenders for the supply of a wide range of equipment for the petrochemical industry of the partner country.
So far, Sumy NPO has operated on the Iranian market exclusively in the oil and gas sector, where it has quite indicative references.
“Sumy machine-builders was recognized in Iran for the first time in the mid-90s of the last century when the “Farashband” compressor station (CS) was successfully constructed and put into operation. Later, a number of powerful CSs appeared in this state with the help of our company. Among them: “Nurabad”, “Isfahan”, “Chalvand”, Ardabil, “Sarab”, “Hadzhiabad”, “Khavaran”, “Sirjan”, “Savekh”, “South Pars”, “Shuridzha” and many others. A special place in the general list is occupied by the gas compressor station on the underground gas storage “Saraje”. This is the largest facility of all constructed by Sumy machine builders in Iran. Within the framework of this project, exclusive 25 MW turbo-compressor packages with double-casing centrifugal compressors of low and high pressure were created. Manufacturers of such equipment can be counted on the fingers of one hand. So, oil companies and gas specialists of Iran know about the competences of Sumy NPO not by hearsay, ” Igor Bulygin, head of Marketing Department said.
Along with the oil and gas market of this Middle Eastern country, its petrochemical industry, which is supervised by the National Iranian Petrochemical Company, is also of great interest.
In particular, Iran has more than 40 petrochemical complexes. According to experts, apart from their re-equipment, a surge in the construction of new facilities in this direction is expected. By 2019, the amount of investment in Iran’s petrochemical industry will have exceeded $ 40 billion.
“The petrochemical segment of the Islamic Republic of Iran promises great prospects for those commodity producers who will prove their competence in the process of preliminary qualification to the state-owned company NIPC and will receive the status of its approved supplier. Sumy NPO is one of the few enterprises from Eastern Europe that managed to do it. It took us a year and a half for the passage of all necessary procedures, ” Igor Bulygin adds.
