“Sumy Machine-Building Science and Production Association” PJSC and Caverion Deutschland GmbH, Business Unit Krantz from Germany have concluded the first contract for the production of a batch of aerosol iodine filter casings.
In accordance with the terms of the contract, the Sumy machine-builders will manufacture four units of this equipment and ship them to the customer in the IV quarter of this year.
These products are the parts of aerosol iodine filters included in the system of gas-steam mixture forced filtered dump from the containment responsible for the safety of nuclear power plants, under the emergency conditions as well.
“Caverion Deutschland GmbH, Business Unit Krantz won the tender for the supply of aerosol iodine filters to the South-Ukrainian NPP. The German company was also interested in finding a reliable partner with solid working experience at the domestic nuclear power market, a partner it could trust with realization of certain tasks of this project. Of course, our enterprise offered its services”, – notes the lead manager of NPP Equipment Sales Bureau, Aleksey Marchenko.
According to him, aside from researching the technical capabilities of SNPO, the Caverion Deutschland GmbH, Business Unit Krantz company also committed a separate production task to the enterprise – making a test sample of iodine filter chamber. When it was ready, a delegation from Germany visited the enterprise and was satisfied with the quality of performed works. After that, an agreement on further cooperation followed.
