Traditionally, at the end of May Sumy became the main industrial site of the region thanks to the International Universal Exhibition of Interregional and Foreign Economic Cooperation “Slobozhansky Bridge-2017”, in which the commodity producers representing various industrial segments gathered to demonstrate their achievements.

This year the exhibition gathered industrialists for the fourteenth time and was held within the framework of the Europe days in Ukraine. About 40 leading enterprises of Sumy and Kharkov regions, as well as neighboring Poland, showed their skills. The head of Sumy region Nikolay Klochko, under the patronage of whom the event took place, noted that the region occupied strong positions in investment attractiveness among other regions of Ukraine, and this, in particular, was facilitated by such business meetings as “Slobozhansky Bridge”, where enterprises had the opportunity to demonstrate their industrial potential.

Traditionally, Sumy NPO PJSC and its subsidiary Sumy-Electrod LLC joined the event. According to Sergei Ivchenko, deputy head of Sumy NPO Marketing Department, the exhibition was a good opportunity to tell both ordinary citizens and potential business partners about the technical competencies of Sumy machine builders.

Director of Sumy-Electrod, Pavel Pogrebnoy, in turn, noted that the company produced about 175 types of certified electrodes, including for the most important designs, while similar manufactures were mainly oriented to 5-7 types of products. “Our products are used for nuclear power, heat power, chemical industry, etc.,” Pavel Pogrebnoy added. “And we continue to lead in the quality of electrodes and spheres of their use not only in our state, but also among the CIS countries. And since last year we have obtained a certificate of international quality, which allows us to expand our horizons in the territory of the European Union “.

The stand presented by Sumy NPO and Sumy-Electrode attracted the attention of visitors. For example, it was not the first acquaintance with the potential of the company for the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia in Ukraine, Stole Zmeioski. The official noted that he would like his country to develop cooperation with Sumy NPO, and the main opportunity for this is the need to reconstruct the Macedonian gas transport system.
