“Sumy NPO” PJSC was visited by representatives of Global Certifik. They came here to perform recertification audit of the occupational health and safety and environmental management system of the Company for compliance with the OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14001:2015 international standards. The guests shared their conclusions, made after the completed check, with Sumy machine-builders during the final meeting.

For several days, the auditors have been targeting the subdivisions of production facilities specializing in gas pumping units and compressors, as well as nuclear power pumps and components. In general, Yurii Samorodskiy and Aleksei Ryzhkov, the representatives of the certifying body, were satisfied with what they saw and heard. They did not find any non-conformities and only gave suggestions on the improvement of performance of the management system in effect at the Company.

First, the auditors advise the employees to remember to analyze tendencies that can improve working conditions or prevent unsafe situations. Second, they suggest that the Company involves as many staff at specific locations as possible in occupational health and safety and environmental protection, and doesn’t impose this responsibility on the deputy heads of structural subdivisions only.

Valerii Ugnichov, the head of HSE department, stated that the opinion expressed by independent experts is always highly valuable, because it shows the current state of affairs from another point of view.
